* BE POLITE and
respectful of the inmates and the officers.
* NEVER be critical of the institution, other religions, races or
people.
* BE A GOOD LISTENER and be trustworthy with personal
information.
* NEVER ask about the inmate's crime.
* BE YOURSELF, relax have a good time and let the Holy Spirit work
through you.
* BE ENCOURAGING and offer hope.
* NEVER give any inmate money or make promises you can't keep.
* DO NOT GIVE anything to an inmate (approved literature would be
an exception)
* DO NOT TAKE anything from an inmate
* BE CAREFUL with physical contact and be aware of sexual advances.
* BE TOBACCO FREE while on prison grounds.
DO NOT BRING IN ANYTHING ON YOUR PERSON
OR BIKE that could be used as a weapon (guns, pocketknives, leather
man, screwdriver, tools, etc.) or any electronic device (cell phone,
pager, recorder, etc.) If you must carry these items have a bag
handy to put them in quickly and they will be secured outside the
fence.
